Postdoc position at LEES Lab Michigan State university

Position Summary

The position provides support for funded research focused on quantitative remote sensing, spatial modeling, data/information synthesis, and the manipulation and processing of terrestrial satellite data. We are seeking highly qualified candidates with the following skills and experience: machine learning, expertise in Google Earth Engine, proficiency in satellite data processing, strong programming abilities, and a demonstrated track record of publications.

Minimum Requirements

Successful candidate is required to have a PhD with a quantitative background and first authored publication(s) in the peer reviewed literature. PhD in: landscape ecology, remote sensing of environment, spatial model, micrometeorology, or land cover changes. 

Desired Qualifications

Experience with interests and experience in quantitative analysis and field research.

  • Experience with GEE and GIS modeling
  • Experience with commercial satellite data
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to continue to write research articles
