A Special Focus Workshop on LCLUC and water resources in coastal zones and Western Ghats was held at CWRDM in Calicut situated in the coastal zone of the state of Kerala. Increasing population pressure has created adverse environmental changes impacting the whole eco-system of this region. Field trips included visits to special irrigation projects and Land use in Western Ghat river basins.
