Recent food crises have highlighted the need for better agricultural monitoring. GEO-GLAM is an international program to enhance the use of Earth Observations (both satellite and in situ) for this purpose. In this context, Brad Doorn (NASA HQ) and Chris Justice (University for Maryland) are convening a session titled, Earth Observations for Global Agricultural Monitoring at the Annual Meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in San Francisco, CA. Abstract submission is now open for research related to various aspects of agricultural monitoring using Earth Observations – including improving methods and generating data and information products and services. The session invites papers from international scientists engaged in the use of EO for global agriculture monitoring at multiple scales and for multiple applications in the context of GEOGLAM. The meeting will be held 9-13 December 2013 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. See the Abstract Submission Page for more information.
