PEER - USAID funding opportunity for developing country investigators to partner with NASA investigators

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has joined with several U.S. Government Agencies, such as NASA, to support Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER). PEER is a competitive grants program that invites scientists in developing countries to apply for funds to support research and capacity-building activities on topics with strong potential development impacts.

As a NASA-funded PI of an eligible project (which is linked to duration and program area of your project – see below for list of program areas), you are able to serve as an USG-partner in a PEER proposal in water nexus areas and SERVIR. As a result, you may be contacted by developing country investigators who are interested in partnering with you to apply to PEER.

Please note that USAID funding can only be used to support a PEER developing country partner, not USG-funded researchers.

If you have any questions in the meanwhile, please contact Christine Lee ([email protected]) or Nancy Searby ([email protected]) to ensure a timely response. A full description of this opportunity can be found at http://sites.nationalacademies.org/PGA/PEER/. Please review and share with your existing or potential PEER-eligible partners and other networks.
