Curtis Woodcock wins the Pecora Award
The William T. Pecora Award is presented annually to individuals or groups that have made outstanding contributions toward understanding the Earth by means of remote sensing. The Department of the Interior (DOI) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) jointly sponsor the award. The 2016 Winner of the Pecora Award is Curtis Woodcock from Boston University. Curtis has been active in remote sensing and land cover research for many years. He is currently co-chair of the Landsat 7 Science Team and is involved in the LCLUC Multi-Source Land Imaging Initiative.
